How Does Animation Work?
The following link opens a PDF of these fine folks’ update on the Myth of Persistence of Vision explaining why, ‘windmills do not work this way.’
Film = 24 fps (usually)
Video = 29.97 fps (round up to 30)
Old time ‘flickers’ ran at about 18 fps (depending on the artistry of the projectionist)
Netflix is derived from:
Net = Internet
flix = flickers
Shooting on 2’s and what the heck does that mean?
24 frames of film = 12 drawings, thus two frames per image = shooting on 2’s
